Elias Hospital Bucharest<\/p>\nRosacea is a chronic and frequently relapsing inflammatory skin disease primarily affecting the central areas of the face. Rosacea is characterized by symptoms of facial flushing and a spectrum of clinical signs, including erythema, telangiectasia, coarseness of skin, and an inflammatory papulopustular eruption resembling acne. Its geographic prevalence varies from 1% to 22%. The differential diagnosis is wide, and the treatment is sometimes difficult and varies by stage of rosacea. For erythematous lesions and telangiectasia, intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy and lasers are popular treatment option. For papulopustular rosacea, topical antibiotics, topical and systemic retinoids, as well as systemic antibiotics are used. A topical acaricidal agent, ivermectin, has undergone clinical development and is now on the market. In the later stages, hyperplasia of the sebaceous glands develops, resulting in phymatous growths such as the frequently observed bulbous nose or rhinophyma. Ablative laser treatments have largely replaced classical abrasive tools. Our presentation is an adjustment of scientific material published in JEADV 2017,31,1775\u20131791 with some up-to-date information with regards to rosacea treatment.<\/p>\n

Se exprim\u0103 clinic prin flush-uri la nivelul fe\u021bei, eritem, telangiectazii \u0219i papulo-pustule asem\u0103n\u0103toare acneei. Prevalen\u021ba geografic\u0103 a acestei boli variaz\u0103 \u00eentre 1% \u0219i 22%. Diagnosticul diferen\u021bial este larg iar tratamentul este uneori dificil \u00een func\u021bie de stadiul bolii. Pentru leziunile eritematoase \u0219i telangiectazii, terapia cu lumin\u0103 intens pulsat\u0103 (IPL) \u0219i laser, sunt op\u021biuni terapeutice populare. Pentru rozaceea papulopustuloas\u0103, at\u00e2t antibioticele topice \u0219i sistemice c\u00e2t \u0219i retinoizii topici \u0219i sistemici sunt utilizate. Totodat\u0103, ivermectina, un agent acaricid este o alternativ\u0103 terapeutic\u0103. \u00cen stadiile avansate, hiperplazia glandelor sebacee duce la apari\u021bia rinofimei. Laserele ablative sunt o alternativ\u0103 terapeutic\u0103 larg \u00eent\u00e2lnit\u0103 azi. Guideline for the treatment of rosacea<\/span> Rosacea is a chronic and frequently relapsing inflammatory skin disease primarily affecting the central areas of the face. Rosacea is characterized by symptoms of facial flushing and a spectrum of clinical signs, including erythema, telangiectasia, coarseness of skin, and an inflammatory papulopustular eruption resembling acne. Its geographic prevalence varies from 1% to 22%. The differential diagnosis is wide, and the treatment is sometimes difficult and varies by stage of rosacea. For erythematous lesions and telangiectasia, intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy and lasers are popular treatment option. For papulopustular rosacea, topical antibiotics, topical and systemic retinoids, as well as systemic antibiotics are used. A topical acaricidal agent, ivermectin, has undergone clinical development and is now on the market. In the later stages, hyperplasia of the sebaceous glands develops, resulting in phymatous growths such as the frequently observed bulbous nose or rhinophyma. Ablative laser treatments have largely replaced classical abrasive tools.
